Roberta Elizabeth (Cail) Moss

July 1, 1957 — February 6, 2023

Huntsville, Ontario

It is with absolute sorrow the family of Roberta Elizabeth Moss (Cail) announces her passing on February 6, 2023. Roberta passed away at home with her family by her side.

Roberta, also known as Bert, was born July 1, 1957, in Sault Ste. Marie. She made many dear friends in her hometown and worked at Cambrian Mall (Hallmark) before moving to Huntsville in the mid-'80s. What brought her to this cottage country town she adored was the love of her life, James Thomas Moss who she married on April 25, 1987, at Central United Church back in the Soo.

In Huntsville Roberta built a beautiful life, surrounded by family and there are countless people and friends who were always touched by her kindness. She worked at Huntsville Place Mall (Hallmark, Painted Porch, Bentley, and RH Jewelers) since it first opened and would often be seen dancing in the halls or stores.

Roberta is survived by her husband Jim, daughter Amanda Lynn Moss-Morin (Peter), and step-children Debbie Moss (late Chris), Shelley Rayner (late Doug), and Steven. Siblings: Jim (Jan), Mark (Rhonda), and Willy as well as her sister and best friend Helen Alldred (Randy). Beloved nieces and nephews: Tyler, Tara, Traci, Tess, Brianne, Jessica, Ben and Nolan. Great nieces and nephews who filled her with so much joy: Theo, Samantha, and Levi. Step-grandchildren Shanna, Travis, Samantha, Nick, and Justin. She is now with her predeceased parents Wellwood (Drifty) and Irene Cail for who she acted as a caregiver and brought into her home for their final years.

“A friend to many, now an angel for all.” – Her aunt and dear friend, Josie Quesnel.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 18th at Billingsly Funeral Home, from 1–3pm. If you would like to email us photos of Roberta please send to jimrobertamoss@gmail.com or bring them to the visitation.
