GREIG, Robert Edward Charles

Passed away suddenly but peacefully on Tuesday, March 8th, 2022, at Muskoka Landing Long Term Care Home at the age of 85.  Robert was born on January 22nd, 1937, to parents Charles and Edna Greig in Toronto, Ontario.  On November 29th, 1958, Robert married Barbara Louise Spencley in Toronto and would spend 58 years together before her passing on March 2, 2016.  Robert is survived by his children Kimberley (Tim) Trusz, Robbie (Tracey) Greig, Shelley Recoskie and Karen (George) Schamehorn.  Cherished grandfather of Tanya, Matthew, Crystal, Natasha, Ambrose, Sebastian, Amelia, Heather and Michelle. Great grandfather of Hudson, Atlas, Thaddeus, Anastasia, Arabella, Calder, Braxton, Adeline, Emerson and Paisley.

As a Toronto Police Constable with 55 Division, Robert proudly served and protected his community for 40 years before retiring.  He loved playing euchre with family and friends, riding his Valkyrie motorcycle, listening to Elvis Presley, catching up on local and world events through any news program, traveling to Cuba with Barbara for many years are just a few memories his family will treasure through the days and years to come.

The family invite friends to a visitation on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Billingsley Funeral Home from 11:00 am until time of service in the funeral home chapel at 1:00 p.m.  Reception to follow.  Robert will be laid to rest beside Barbara at St. Mark's Cemetery, Emsdale in the Spring.  Live streaming will be available for those unable to attend the funeral service and can be located on Robert's memorial page below the service section.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made in lieu of flowers to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Alzheimer's Society of Muskoka.  Messages of condolence can be left at www.billingsleyfuneralhome.com
