LUCYK, Richard Stephen

(April 22, 1947 - April 28, 2023)

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Rick Lucyk who peacefully passed away at Huntsville Hospital on Friday April 28th.  Rick is survived by his wife Debbie (Cunningham) Vardy, daughter Amie Brooks and grandson Gavin Brooks.  Predeceased by son Jason Lucyk.  Rick will be dearly missed by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Rick was born in Lyncoln County located in southern Ontario. He and his parents moved to Dwight, Ontario in 1970, a place he has always called home and loved. He worked for the MTO for 27 years. Rick loved the family gatherings at "Red Neck Lodge" on the Oxtongue River, gambling and antique cars.

The family wishes to thank the PSW's for his care over the many years especially Samantha Miller, the palliative support team at Closing the Gap, Dr. McLinden and the nursing staff at Huntsville Hospital.

A memorial will take place at a later date for family and friends. Donations can be made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundatioin or Hospice Huntsvillein lieu of flowers.
