PEACOCK, Marguerite Emma Kathleen (nee Baker)

With heavy hearts and gratitude, we announce that our mother, Marguerite Peacock, died peacefully at Muskoka Shores LTC in Gravenhurst on April 1, 2023 in her 95th year. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Grenville Peacock, with whom she happily operated Peacock Bay Marina on Lake Vernon for many years.

Life at the lake suited them although they also cherished their earlier years growing up in Toronto. They had many friends at Faith Baptist Church and they enjoyed game nights at the farm with friends and family. Marguerite was a Christian woman of deep faith and she looked forward to being with the Lord one day and reuniting with her husband.

She leaves her sons Douglas (Vicki), Brian (Yvonne), and her daughter Linda Crush and her sister Ann Swinarton. She was a loving grandmother to Kyle, Nicole, Chantal, Claire and Genevieve and delighted in being a great-grandmother to Sydney.

Marguerite enjoyed her special time at Rogers Cove Retirement Residence in Huntsville, prior to moving into long term care. The family is thankful for the care Marguerite received from the staff at Muskoka Shores and from long-time family friends Dale and Jim Hajas.

A family-only visitation has already taken place. A graveside Celebration of Life will be held later at a date yet to be determined.
