TOFFLEMIRE, Lois Amy “Merle” (nee Hopcraft)

Merle passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Muskoka Landing with her daughter Patsy by her side. She was in her 86th year. Beloved wife of 63 years to the late Clifford Tofflemire. She was born in Sprucedale to parents Agnes and Victor Hopcraft. Dear sister of the late Grace (Donald dec.) Peddie and William (Mary) Hopcraft. Cherished Mother of Doug (Judy) Tofflemire, Patsy (Don dec.) Klingbeil and Lynda (Tom) Drever. Predeceased by infant son Dennis. Loving Granny of Kim (Tyler), Doug (Amy), Erin and Michael (Alie). Proud GG of Tseitel, Ari, Oz, Bo and Brynn. Merle also leaves behind her extended family and many friends to mourn her passing.

Merle worked as a Bell operator and later at Llanllar Estate in Windermere.

Family was most important to Merle.  She enjoyed spending time with them and loved family gatherings.  Merle and Cliff were active members of Trinity United Church for many years.  Merle will be dearly missed. She will be forever in our hearts.
