Jim passed away peacefully at the Algonquin Grace Hospice in Huntsville in his 74th year. Jim will be remembered and sadly missed by his brother Ralph (Joanne), his close companion for the past six years Janice Sanger, close friends and his adopted family Allan, Kim, Cameron (Yassi) and Kaitlyn (Kasper). Predeceased by his parents James and Hazel, and his beloved cat Tigger.
Jim will be remembered for his valiant effort to not give in to his cancer diagnosis. His firm belief that he was going to beat the disease kept him going well beyond the expected timelines he was provided by the medical community, and was admired by his close friends and family. He left this world the way he lived his life. A scrapper to the very end.
Special thanks to the palliative care team and nursing staff at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville Hospice, and the staff and nursing team at Home & Community Care for the care and compassion they provided Jim in his final months. Donations in Jim's memory in lieu of flowers can be made to Hospice Huntsville https://www.hospicehuntsville.com/donate-2/ or the Huntsville Hospital Foundation https://huntsvillehospitalfoundation.ca/ways-to-give/
