Bernadette Catherine (Reid) Preston

PRESTON, Bernadette Catherine (nee Reid)

Born on July 8, 1953 in Huntsville, Ontario to parents Cecil and Verna Reid.  After a lengthy illness, Bernadette left us peacefully on October 23, 2021 with her husband by her side.  Married 27 years  to her best friend and soul mate Wayne Preston residing in Alexandra, Ontario.  She enjoyed the simple things in life and she always made someone smile.  Bernadette was a dedicated mother first and foremost to son, Jeffery (Tina) Markle and beautiful daughter Roxanne Markle.  She especially loved her role of grandma to her grandson Riley Markle.  Growing up  in Huntsville she was the eldest of 9 siblings, Richard Reid (dec.), Larry (Virginia) Reid, Jennifer (Glen) Groomes, Paul (Ann) Reid, Murray (Maggie) Reid, Michael (Candace) Reid, Judy (Bryan) Smith and Jody (Scott) McIntyre.

A limb has fallen from our family tree that says; grieve not for me, remember the best times, the laughter, the good life I lived when I was strong.
