William Brandon McMurray

Brandon McMurray, aged 42, of Huntsville, Ontario passed away on Tuesday September 8th, 2026, after an unexpected medical setback. Brandon grew up in Oakville, Ontario but spent the better part of every summer, pursuing his love of all things outdoors in Huntsville, most often with his grandparents, Bill and Marj Blackburn.

He completed a History Degree at the University of Waterloo before taking on a position in the jewellery industry in Toronto. After several years working in the city, Brandon jumped at the chance to open the Hunt House Fine Jewellery with his parents, Brian and Cathy McMurray, and to relocate permanently to the place that had always been so special to him. 

He had a deep love for the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, always happiest when he could spend time in nature. He was rarely far from his dog, Charlie, whom he loved dearly and was a cherished companion.  He will be deeply missed by his parents, Cathy and Brian, his sister Jordana and brother-in-law Othon, his niece and nephew, Sofia and Theo, and his beloved pup Charlie.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal funeral service, his family will honour his memory privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Huntsville Hospital at https://huntsvillehospitalfoundation.ca/  in appreciation of the care and support he received. The family also encourages those who are able to consider donating blood in his memory, carrying forward a gift of life and compassion to others in need.
