In Loving Memory of Susan Valerie Lynn Morris (née Logan)

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Susan (Sue) Valerie Lynn Morris on August 5, 2026, at the age of 70, surrounded by the love of her family.

Sue was a proud mother to her three children, whom she loved deeply. Becoming a grandmother was one of the greatest joys. She delighted in watching her grandchildren grow, celebrating their milestones, and sharing precious moments they will treasure forever.

Sue had a remarkable gift for making a house feel like a home. She was an exceptional cook, and no one ever left her table hungry. Her brother, John, affectionately referred to her as “Suzy Homemaker,” a reflection of the pride she took in creating a warm, welcoming home and making everyone around her feel loved and cared for.

She lived her life with kindness, generosity, resilience, and quiet strength, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Along with her generous spirit, Sue will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humour, intelligence, organization, knitting and sewing skills, and love of dancing.

In her earlier life, Sue began her career as a legal secretary. Later, she chose to stay home to raise her three children. Following that, she returned to school to become a law clerk and went on to enjoy a successful career as an estate law clerk at one of Toronto’s leading law firms. Sue earned the respect of colleagues and clients alike through her professionalism, knowledge, and integrity.

Sue later found lasting love with her beloved husband, Wayne. Together they shared many wonderful years filled with laughter, travel, and adventure. In retirement, they explored the world together, filling photobooks of all of their journeys.

Some of Sue’s happiest years were spent at the family cottage in Hastings, which later became her home. She loved sitting near the lake with her tea, watching her grandkids jump off the dock, and creating everlasting memories around the kitchen table.

Above all, Sue will be remembered for the love she gave, the home she created, and the countless memories she made with the people she cherished most. Her kindness and strength will continue to live on in all who were fortunate enough to know and love her.

Sue is lovingly remembered and survived by her beloved husband, Wayne Morris; her loving children, Cheryl McKeen (Ryan) and Laura Boyd; her cherished grandchildren, Mason, Gisele and Ethan; her brother, John Logan; her sister, Lorraine Randall; her stepchildren and extended family; and many treasured friends. Sue was predeceased by her beloved son, Allen Boyd, and her parents, Margaret Cryderman and James Logan. While the loss of her son remained close to her heart throughout her life, her family finds comfort in imagining them reunited.

A celebration of Sue’s life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared directly with family and friends.
