Sherry Lynne Willner (Nadrofsky) November 1st 1959 - October 24th 2023
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Sherry who left this world peacefully on October 24th, 2023, at Algonquin Grace Residential Hospice. She was surrounded with love by her husband Jürgen Willner of 42 years and her daughters Emily (David Goldthorp) and Katrina (Cole Warburton). Sherry was the best Oma to her two precious granddaughters, Saoirse and Maeve Goldthorp. She is pre-deceased by her parents Leo & Dorothy (Conrad) Nadrofsky, her brothers Howard and Elmer, and sister Pat. Sherry was a beloved sister to Eileen, Tony, and Terry, and an amazing aunt, great-aunt and great-great-aunt to many.
Sherry had a heart of gold, filled with compassion and unconditional love. Her life was a testament to her unwavering dedication to her family and friends. She had a special way of making everyone feel loved and valued, and her nurturing spirit will live on through the many lives she touched. While she had a spicy red-head side and wasn’t afraid to speak her mind, her smile could light up any room, and her laughter was a reminder of the joy that could be found in life’s simplest moments.
Sherry was a hard worker and never stoped moving. She lived most of her life in Huntsville, but also spent some years in Kewisk and Truro, NS. She owned her own cleaning business for over 30 years, but she was always more than just “the cleaning lady”. She would help with errands, held any hand that needed comfort, and enjoyed a good conversation with cup of tea.
Sherry overcame many challenges throughout her life, but after a hard and brave two-year battle with MDS (myelodysplastic syndrome), she could no longer fight. She will be deeply missed and loved by so many who knew her, and will always be remembered for her strength.
In lieu of flowers, her family asks that you donate blood in her honour every chance you get. Sherry would have not been able to be with us as long as she was with out the generosity of strangers who donated blood. If you are unable to donate blood, donations to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada are appreciated through
