It is with profound sadness that the Rawding Poirier family share Scott’s sudden passing on September 10, 2026.
He was deeply loved by his forever partner, Heather, their children Holly (Luc) and Charles, and his mother, Sheila. He is predeceased by his father, Murray. He is further survived by his daughters Samantha (Dylan) and Amanda (Kevin), his grandsons Kaleb and Calvin, his sister Kim (Terry), his nieces Katie and Kirsten, and his nephews Sean and Craig.
Scott was a longtime employee of Kimberly-Clark in the Huntsville Maintenance Department. He was a Mechanic by trade, but if you asked him what he did for a living, he was just a guy that “spins wrenches”. Well-liked and respected by coworkers and friends, he very quietly cast a big shadow on the world around him.
In accordance with Scott’s wishes, he has been cremated and his family will gather privately for remembrance. Donations, in Scott’s memory, to Diabetes Canada, would be greatly appreciated.
We now, lovingly, return Scott to stardust. We need only lift our eyes to the night sky, for his light to shine in our hearts again.
