Robert "Bob" James Tipper

Robert “Bob” James Tipper passed away on December 28, 2025, peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was 80 years old.

Bob is lovingly remembered by his life partner, Pamela Nunn, and his children, Marisa Herrington (Mark), Robert James Tipper Jr., and Diane Ware (Colin), and grandchildren, Kaitlyn Herrington, Lucas Mann, James Tipper, Kendra Ware, and Ian Ware. He is predeceased by his parents, Philip and Isabel Smith (née Tipper).

Bob was born and raised on the family farm and never ventured too far from the land he loved. He was a longtime employee of A&P, where he worked for more than 40 years. Easygoing and funloving, he welcomed everyone with an open door and a cold beer. Tipper’s Place was a place of laughter, stories, and steady friendship — a reflection of the warm and generous spirit he carried throughout his life.

A celebration of life will take place on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Billingsley Funeral Home in Huntsville. Please bring any photos or memories you would like to share.

The family is deeply grateful to the Palliative Care Team for their care and compassion which were essential in helping keep Bob at home in his final days. Memorial donations can be made to Hospice Huntsville and/or the Canadian Cancer Society.
