Phillip David Grant

Phillip David Grant aged 76 of Huntsville sadly left us on April 2, 2024.   He was born on January 27, 1948, in Toronto to Margaret Grant-Bruce (nee Liddell) and Bob Grant.  Left to mourn his passing is his beloved wife, June (nee McCallum) and their two sons, Chris Grant (Shannan Cowan) and Mark Grant. Proud grandfather of five and three great-grandchildren.  Loving brother of Dianne Walker-Courvoisier (dec. Earl Walker) (dec. Herb Courvoisier), Bonnie Payne (Dennis), Lee-Ann Key and former spouse Robert Key, Jo-Anne Nelson (dec. Jim), and Karen Bruce (Bernie Metivier).   Dear brothers-in-law, Gary McCallum (Murial), John McCallum (Mary-Anne), Joe McCallum (Rhonda) and Ray McCallum (Amy).   Predeceased by his daughter Stacey Grant, siters-in-law Rebecca Maxell (Robert) and Dena Mountain (Doug).  Phillip will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.

Phillip loved almost everything with wheels – cars, trucks, snowmobiles, go-karts. It was his love of racing snowmobiles and stock cars that gave him the most joy.  He leaves this passion with both of his sons to carry on.

For many years Phillip worked as a truck driver and along with his wife, June, they owned and operated Rite Way Cleaners.

The family invite friends to a visitation on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville.  The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Bethel Huntsville, 35 Silverwood Drive, Huntsville, reception to follow the funeral service at Bethel Huntsville.  Phillip will be laid to rest at Grassmere Cemetery, Highway 60, Hillside, following the reception at 4:00 p.m.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation in Phillips memory.
