Patrick Michael “Mike” McKeown's sunrise was on June 13, 1958, in Chicago, Illinois. With heavy hearts, we announce his sunset on October 11, 2026.
As the second child of Earlene and Patrick McKeown, Mike grew up amidst the joyful noise and energy of a large family, spending cherished years alongside his siblings in Huntsville, Ontario.
Mike lived life with a vibrant energy that filled every room he walked into. He was a devoted husband and an immensely proud father whose deepest joy was his family. Loving, compassionate, and inherently good to everyone he met, Mike was a protector at heart—an incredible brother, a true friend, and a man who treated people with genuine kindness and warmth.
If you knew Mike, you knew he did nothing half-heartedly. He was a hard worker with a fierce competitive streak on the tennis court, but he also knew better than anyone how to let loose and enjoy the ride. A sharp dresser with an eye for great style, Mike could pull off everything from a tailored look to his signature biker boots with effortless cool. He had a natural charm, loved the thrill of romance, and possessed a delightfully silly sense of humor that never failed to make people laugh.
Above all, Mike was a force on the dance floor. He had the moves to match his playful spirit, and whenever Simon & Garfunkel’s “The 59th Street Bridge Song” came on, you could count on him declaring with a wide smile that he was feeling groovy.
Mike is lovingly remembered and missed beyond words by his devoted daughters, Josy and Andrea. He is also survived by his beloved mother, Earlene, and his heartbroken siblings: Cathy, Francie (Paul), David, Bonnie (Stephen), Sean, Casey (Kara), Christopher (Sandi), and Corey (Jenn), as well as a large circle of extended family and lifelong friends.
He was predeceased by his father, Patrick and his brother Danny.
In honor of Mike’s life, take a moment to listen to a great song, put on your favorite pair of boots, hit the dance floor, and remember to slow down—because as Mike would say," slow down you're moving too fast let's Kick down a few cobblestones "
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
We love you and will miss you always Mike!
