Nicole Carolyn Gilbert

Nicole was born in Toronto on July 28^th, 1977. She was the cherished daughter of Les and Carolyn Gilbert (nee Deane). She had 3 older brothers Michael, Paul, and Ross. She grew up and was educated in Mississauga. In June of 2000, she moved with her parents to Huntsville in the Muskoka region of Ontario.

Her brothers by then were far away from home on further education and Nicole wanted too also be away on her own. She settled into a Christian Group Home in nearby Bracebridge, Ontario. She lived there for almost 20 years, coming home to her parents on frequent weekends and holidays. She volunteered at a lovely nursing home and soon learned the routines.

In April 2020, when covid restrictions were announced, she moved back with her parents. Her family was always so important to her. She now had 3 wonderful sisters-in-law, Jan, Heather, and Wiarda Joy. She also became a very proud Auntie Nicole to 5 amazing nieces, Hannah, Madelyn, Zoe, Bella, and Faith, as well as 4 equally amazing nephews, Andrew, Matthew, Owen, and Caleb.

For health reasons, she continued to live with her parents until she passed away at home, very quietly and very peacefully on November 3^rd, 2023.

The funeral service will he held on November 10^th, 2023, at Riverside Baptist Church at 12:00 p.m. and a reception will follow.
