Mary "Eva" Evangeline Joiner

Mary Evangeline Joiner, known affectionately as Eva, passed away peacefully on April 9, 2026, at Muskoka Landing Long Term Care, after a long battle with dementia, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on August 31, 1944, in Huntsville, Ontario, Eva lived a life marked by devotion to her family and community.

Eva was predeceased by her beloved husband, Allan Joiner, who passed on January 19, 2014, after 38 years of marriage, and leaves behind a legacy of love and steadfast companionship. She was also preceded in death by her children Linda (Gary) Schamehorn and Peggy (Bill) Yearley, as well as her grandson Jack Yearley. Her sisters, Fay (Gary) Wignall and Mabel (Ted) Daultrey, also departed before her.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her devoted children Edward (Shari) Joiner, Terry (Marcia) Joiner, Lee (Brian) Boothby, Rick Hopcraft, and Deb (Reg) Cameron. Eva took great pride and joy in her cherished grandchildren: Deanna, Cory, Mary-Lyn, Shawn, Adam, Jamie, Sarah, Allan, Shy, Candace-Rose, Becca, Megan, Abbey, Bella, and Jack. Her family was further blessed with 14 great-grandchildren who brought her immense happiness. She also treasured the companionship of her sisters Sharon (Fred) Daultrey and Sheila (Al) Cowdell and her brother Alvin Young.

The family will gather to honor Eva's memory with visitation on April 16, 2026, from 12:00 to 1:00 at Billingsley Funeral Home, located at 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville, Ontario. This will be followed by a funeral service at 1:00 at the same location.  The funeral service will be officiated by Evelyn Coker.  Eva will be laid to rest in the Spring at Madill Cemetery.  Reception to follow.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to Hospice Huntsville in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.

Mary Evangeline Joiner's passing marks the end of a remarkable life filled with strength, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to those she loved. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
