Marion Dianne Calhoun, née Shail, born on July 4, 1944, in Kirkland Lake, Ontario, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, in Huntsville, Ontario. Her life's journey was marked by steadfast love, devotion, and a deep connection to her family, leaving an indelible impact on all who had the privilege to know her.
Marion's roots in Kirkland Lake bore witness to a life lived with kindness and grace. Though she faced the profound sorrow of losing her beloved husband, Donald Calhoune, son, Steven Calhoun, and her brother Jim (Debbie) Shail, her enduring spirit remained a source of strength and comfort for her family.
She is lovingly remembered and survived by her devoted children: Shelly (Ray) Neale, Brenda (Chris) MacArthur, and Tammy (Dwayne) Tasker and her loving brother, Rob (Wendy) Shail. The bonds she nurtured extended warmly to her 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, whose lives she enriched through her unwavering affection and guidance. In addition, Marion’s legacy continues among her cousins, nieces, and nephews, who hold dear the memories of her generous heart.
Marion Dianne Calhoun’s passing marks the end of a cherished chapter, yet the love she sowed will continue to flourish through the generations she so deeply cherished. Her family and friends remember her as a woman of quiet strength, enduring warmth, and profound familial devotion.
