Leland Dakota Sammons Roberts

Leland Dakota Sammons Roberts, affectionately known as "Leland the Warrior," was born on August 23, 2006, in Huntsville, Ontario. He graced this world with his joyful spirit and adventurous nature, living a vibrant life until his diagnosis at the age of nine with CLN3 Juvenile Battens disease. Leland's journey showcased his resilience and the love he garnered from those around him.

He passed away peacefully on October 29, 2025, at Hospice Huntsville, surrounded by his loving family. Leland's contagious happiness and adventurous zest touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Leland is survived by his devoted Mommy, Lori Sammons, and his Father, Ed Roberts (Shelley). He will be deeply missed by his Gramma, Vivian Sammons, and his little Gramma, Leanna Kingsmill, along with Grandpa Ted Coward. Among his family, Leland leaves behind cherished relatives including Aunt Kristen (Jason) Wills, Dyllon (Makayla) Colby, Uncle Doug (Rose) Roberts, and cousins Kissandra, Josh, Uncle Joel (Jenn) Roberts, and his beloved cousins Hannah, Evan, and Sadie. Leland is also preceded by his Pa Richard Sammons and Uncle Jesse Coward.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Leland will take place on November 15, 2025, at Billingsley Funeral Home in Huntsville, Ontario. The gathering will commence at 2:00 PM and conclude at 4:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring the remarkable spirit of Leland, a warrior whose legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who loved him.
