It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lee Vukson (Bradshaw). The world has lost a remarkable woman, and Heaven has gained a beautiful angel. Lee passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the age of 62, surrounded by the love of her family after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Lee was the devoted wife of Donald, cherished mother of Rachel (Paul) and Paige (Matt), and proud Mimi to Riley, J.J., Aspen and her soon-to-be-born granddaughter, Georgia. She was also a beloved sister to Michele (Glenn), a loving aunt to Nicole and Mateo, and a treasured friend to so many. Family was the centre of her world, and she loved with her whole heart. 

Lee was born and raised in beautiful Huntsville, Ontario, where she spent her childhood surrounded by the lakes and natural beauty of Muskoka. Although she built her life and raised her family in Oakville, Huntsville was where her story began, and it is there she will be laid to rest, reunited with her beloved mom and dad. 

She went on to attend Western University, where she earned her degree and formed some of the most meaningful friendships of her life. As a proud member of Kappa Alpha Theta, Lee built lifelong bonds with her sorority sisters, friendships she treasured throughout her life. 

Following graduation, Lee built a successful career at RBC, working in Financial Engineering on the National Sales Desk for Derivatives. She was intelligent, driven and respected by those she worked alongside. Yet despite her professional success, the role she treasured most was becoming a mother. She made the decision to step away from her career to raise her daughters, Rachel and Paige, and never once looked back. It was the greatest privilege of her life. 

Lee was the kind of mom everyone hopes to have. She was always present, endlessly supportive, and the person her family could count on no matter what. As her daughters grew older, Lee found new ways to share her talents and compassion. She volunteered at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital, where her warmth and kindness touched countless patients, families and staff.

She also turned her love of cooking into Gigi’s Salad Dressing, a business that reflected her passion for bringing people together around good food. Above all, becoming “Mimi” was one of the greatest joys of Lee’s life. Nothing lit up her face more than her grandchildren—Riley, J.J., Aspen and her soon-to-arrive granddaughter, Georgia. She treasured every cuddle, every laugh, every milestone and every moment she spent with them. The love she poured into them was immeasurable, and they will carry a piece of their Mimi with them forever. 

Lee had the kindest heart and an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel welcome. People naturally gravitated toward her. She had a way of making everyone feel like they belonged, and her warmth, generosity and genuine interest in others drew people to her wherever she went. Whether she was planning a gathering, offering a listening ear or simply showing up when someone needed her, Lee made people feel seen, valued and deeply loved. She embraced life with enthusiasm and a sense of adventure, creating unforgettable memories while travelling the world with family and friends. 

Lee’s legacy lives on in her family, her friends and everyone whose life she touched. Her kindness, generosity and unconditional love changed so many lives and will continue to do so for generations to come. Our hearts are broken, but we are so incredibly grateful for every memory, every lesson and every moment we shared with her. We will miss her every day, love her forever and carry her with us always. 

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional teams at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre and the many healthcare professionals who cared for Lee with such compassion throughout her journey. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, September 25, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Bronte Boathouse – Lakeside Room (2340 Ontario Street, Oakville, ON L6L 6P7). All are welcome to attend as we celebrate Lee’s life.
