Passed away with his family at his side on Friday, August 14, 2026 at South Muskoka Memorial Hospital in Bracebridge at the age of 61.
Kelly is survived by his children; Vanessa and Shaun; his five grandchildren Isla, Emmy, Denver, Colton and Lexi; his nephew Sullivan; parents Blake and Carol; two younger brothers Jeff and Duane; daughter-in-law Kayla; and sister-in-law Trish. He was, and will continue to be deeply loved and cherished by his many aunts, uncles and cousins, far too many to name.
Kelly was born with a heart defect and spent much of his life in and out of hospital; although, you would never have know it by looking at hime. He was devoted to living life to the fullest. He spent much of his childhood on his grandmother's farm in Rosseau with his cousins. A devoted stay-at-home father while his children were young, Kelly remained deeply involved in family life as his children grew. He worked in maintenance at Bethel Pentecostal Church, as well as the Bracebridge and Huntsville hospitals and took great pride in what he did. In his final years, Kelly cherished being home with his parents, daughter, and grandchildrten, where his days remained filled with family, love, laughter and joy.
Raised in a large family of musicians, Kelly lived for music. It was a huge part of his life. He was passionate about photography and videography, rarely without his camera in hand. Family was everything to Kelly. He cherished bringing everyone together and creating memories and home videos.
Kelly was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved hitting the open road with the boys on long rides. He also enjoyed horseback riding and the freedom and sense of peace that came with it.
A visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026 at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville from 11-12 p.m. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 12 p.m. at the same location. The burial will occur at Hekkla Cemertery following the reception at Billingsley Funeral Home at 3 p.m.
