With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother Judy on May 19th, 2026, at the age of eighty-five.
Judy was born March 15th, 1941, in Oshawa, Ontario. She was a nurse before marrying Ronald Sinclair, raising four children in Peterborough, eventually retiring to Huntsville. Judy and Ron shared fifty-one loving years together.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Debbie (Terry) of Peterborough, Jeff (Susan) of Emsdale, Heather (Kenneth) of Florida, and Bonnie (Jay) of Maryland. She was always a loving ‘Nan’ to Brandon, Nicholas, Kyle, Kelsey, Derek, Jamie, Ryan, Conner, Laura, and Great-Nan to Cayden.
Judy was predeceased by Ron (2013) and is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Jane and John Delorme of Port Perry, and sister-in-law Donna Kumagai of Barrie, as well as her nieces and nephew.
Mom loved spending time with her family, watching nature and the animals up at the cottage, cheering for her favorite ice hockey teams, and keeping current on the world news. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed tending to her plants. She loved sending and receiving greeting cards especially at Christmas time. And oh, how she loved all her ‘stuff’.
The family would like to thank the many doctors, nurses, PSWs, first responders and staff for their kind care, as well as her friends and neighbours who supported her for many years of independent living in her own home.
The family will be holding a private Celebration of Life. Condolences can be sent to the family, who warmly welcome your wonderful memories and stories you have of our mother. Anyone wishing to make a donation are requested to do so in Judy’s name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
Interment will be at the Little Lake Cemetery in Peterborough, Ontario, where she will join her loving husband hand-in-hand for all of eternity.
Mom, you will be forever in our hearts and your absence will leave a profound void. We know we will find comfort when we catch a glimpse of an owl or a hummingbird
