Joseph "Joe" Alec George Allan

A one of kind person with a great spirit, a joke at the ready, and harmonica in his pocket, Joe Allan, 48, of Huntsville, Ontario, passed away suddenly on July 29, 2025. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Joe was born in Kingston, Ontario on January 12, 1977 to Dr. David and Brenda Allan. Joe enjoyed a fun and active childhood in Huntsville with his two beloved brothers, graduated from Huntsville High School before studying at Trent University. He pursued a career in acting and comedy and served aboard the HMCS Victoria as a submariner in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Joe was preceded in death by his father David Allan and is survived by his wife Dani (nee Wilkinson), mother Brenda, brothers Nicholas (Malia), Benjamin (Jaclyn) and grandmother Wanda Tizzard, and four nieces.

Joe was a truly kind and compassionate human being. A loving husband, son, brother and friend to many. He impacted the lives of everyone he met with his larger than life personality and humor. He would quite literally give you the shirt off his back if you needed it.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM. 

Sadly, the candle that burns twice as bright only burns for half the time. Like millions of Canadians today, Joe struggled with mental health issues for many years.
