Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Wednesday, January 16th, 2019 at Algonquin Grace Hospice in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Catherine Patterson (nee Corrigan) who predeceased John in 2006. Loving father of Connie Patterson (Kirby King) and Larry (Sonia) Patterson. Cherished grandfather of Cathy (John), Matthew (Courtney), Ryan (Andrea), Mike (Kaela), Steven, Robert (Riley) and Brooklyn. Great-grandfather of Brandon (Breanna), Britney, Trip, Kylie, Mia, Luca, Zakk and Jace. Great-great-grandfather of Xavier and Eastyn. Dear brother of Bob (Bev) Wood, Butch (Wendy) Hinves and dear friend of Lois Taylor.
In keeping with John's wishes, cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations can be made to Hospice Huntsville.
