Jim Hartley Manley passed away peacefully on May 31, 2025, at the Huntsville Hospice at the age of 68.
Born on February 16, 1957, Jim was known for his sharp wit, independent nature, and love for the road. He worked for many years as a truck driver, a job that suited his quiet strength and self-reliant spirit.
Jim found joy in life’s simple pleasures — cheering for the Toronto Blue Jays, casting a line while fishing with his wife Hong, and spending quiet hours with a good Western novel in hand. He was a man of few words, but those who knew him well understood how much he cared.
He is survived by his wife, Hong Wang, and his children: Sandra Manley, Andrew Manley, and Jessica Dailey. He is also remembered by his grandchildren: Jacob and Tyler Manley, Brianna Dailey, and Lucas Landry, and by his sister, Ronita Williams.
Jim is now reunited with his parents and brother, who passed before him.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place on Monday, June 9, 2025 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm followed by a burial at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery at 1:30 pm.
