James “Jamie” Kenneth Rye

It is with overwhelming sadness that we share the passing of James Kenneth Rye. James passed away suddenly on February 26th, 2024 at his residence in Huntsville.

Jamie is survived by his mother, Elaine Rye (Larry), his sister Janice Rye-Meredith (Lloyd) and his four loving children Kara-Dawn Downing (Jake), Levi Rye (Alyssa), Kyla Rye (Nick) and Jerret Downing (Elawyn) and his stepchildren Alyssa Downing (Kyle) and Samantha Sangster (Alex).  He also leaves behind four precious grandchildren to mourn his passing.  Predeceased by his father, Kenneth Rye and his sister Marlene Rye-Turner.

Those who knew Jamie will always remember him for his big heart, his wittiness, his sketching talent and his readiness to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Jamie will be forever in our hearts and will be missed every day by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, March 17th, 2024 from 11:30 – 2:30 at Home 2 Suites by Hilton, Conference Room, 159 Howland Drive, Huntsville, Ontario. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Hospice Huntsville at www.hospicehuntsville.com
