Gregory Arthur Joseph Hachey

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Greg Hachey, who died peacefully on July 29, 2025, at Huntsville District Memorial Hospital. Greg was born in 1955, to parents Hazen and Norma. Predeceased by his loving sister, Heather and is survived by his brother Wayne. Loving uncle to Erin and Kevin. Greg was born in Toronto but was a pioneer in “off-grid” living and chose a life of solitude near Novar, Ontario, where he lived for most of his life. Resourceful and self-reliant, he found contentment surrounding himself by nature and always found companionship through the many pets he cared for throughout his lifetime. He was a kind and compassionate person, with an impeccable memory. Though he lived a life distant from society, he was never forgotten by those who loved him. His legacy is one of peace, happiness, and a love for nature. He will be dearly missed.
