IN LOVING MEMORY OF
George "Todd"
Gray
May 2, 1963 – January 22, 2026
After a courageous battle with cancer, Todd passed peacefully at home with his wife and girls by his side on January 22, 2026, in his 62nd year. He is deeply missed by Sheryl (Noyes), his loving wife of 34 fun-filled years. Cherished and devoted father to Kayla (Nik Looby) and Carley, and proud Papa to his beautiful granddaughter, Charlotte. Dear brother to Kimberly (Rick Deraspe), and fondly remembered by his cousins, nieces and nephews.
Todd was a fun-loving, easy-going man with a great sense of humour. He was always up for a good time with friends or family, whether it be community get togethers, golfing, watching sporting events, or travel. He particularly enjoyed spending summers at the cottage, putting around the lake with his morning coffee, playing cards with goods friends or sitting on the deck while enjoying a pint with neighbours. It was always a better time with Todd there!
Todd was tremendously proud of his daughters. Carley for following his footsteps with a career in Hydro One and Kayla for her great successes in the business world of Europe. He was over the moon about being a Papa to little Charlotte and enjoyed nothing more than making her giggle at his antics.
Todd was a proud Hydro One lineman of 38 years. His career was more than a job – it was a community. He valued the camaraderie of his co-workers and the close friendships that came with long days, shared challenges and mutual trust. He particularly enjoyed working “storms” in which he was fondly called the “Walmart greeter”, welcoming the incoming work crews of other districts. Todd had a natural gift for connecting with people and was always looking for common ground, often asking, “Do you know so-and-so?” as a way of bringing people together.
Above all, Todd wanted to make people happy with his sense of humour and genuine warmth. One of the many ways he shared this was through his short social media videos known as the “Muskoka Lineman Weather Update”, where he talked about the weather with his own familiar charm. These videos became something people enjoyed and looked forward to, a simple reflection of who he was.
Todd will be remembered for his kindness, his humour, his strong work ethic, and his ability to make others feel welcome and connected. He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and lasting memories that will be cherished by all who knew him.
In keeping with Todd’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends and family are all welcome to attend the Celebration of Life for Todd which will be held on Saturday, January 31st, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville.
For those who wish, donations in memory of Todd may be made to Pancreatic Cancer North America.
