Those who must go on without him are his wife of 71 years, Heidi, children and their spouses, beloved grandchildren with spouses, great-grandchildren, friends and a little dog named Jaxx, who'll miss his walks with Opa.

A steadfast and disciplined man, he arrived in Canada, from Germany on the Arosa Sun, almost 70 years ago. Through hard work in the coal mines to a white collar job in manufacturing, with admirable determination and a focused work ethic, with Heidi by his side.  He helped build a solid foundation for his children, the generations who follow.  He lived a full and active life.  He taught us respect and discipline along with our heritage, which will be carried on through the years.  He enjoyed music ranging from Jazz to Opera.  Enno read a wide variety of literature and took interest in art.  He thrived on routines.  Although he never enjoyed driving, he drove us to and from the beloved Landhaus frequently over the course of 44 years.  Annual vacations took him (them) to destinations within North America, Europe and the "7 Seas".  He followed the weather faithfully (at times to his dismay), enjoyed cycling, swimming and walking.  He had a sweet tooth which he satifisfied with Mentos and Bienenstich, always in moderation as good health was important.  Yet his coffee consumed in abundance, had to have milk, not cream and NO sugar!  Over time his hobbies ranged from black and white photography to 8mm movies and on to videos.  He recorded our daily lives and travel adventures.  He built things: toys for his children, which lasted through the grandchildren, furniture, crafted loasters, and made repairs when required. We loved him even when he challenged us; we'll continue to love him as we adjust to life without our Enno/Papa/Opa/Ur-Opa - 4 tiltles and a life well-lived.

The burial will take place at Locks Cemetery, Brunel Road in Huntsville on Friday, September 26, 2025 and 3:00 p.m. The celebration of Life will follow the burial at 19 John Street.  Please join us for memory-sharing and an Enno-inspired dinner.
