Elizabeth Iona (MacDonald) Shakespeare

Passed away peacefully at the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital on Friday, January 24, 2020 in her 87th year.  Beloved wife of the late Edward “Ted” Shakespeare (d. 2019) for 67 years.  Proud mother of Gary (Kathy) Shakespeare, Terry (Andrea Meehan) Shakespeare, Troy (Sharon Fowler) Shakespeare and Shannon (Rob) Durnan.  Cherished grandmother of Christopher (Carmen), Elizabeth (Bill), Byron, Vanessa, Terry Jr., Colin, Matthew, Emily, Carter and Jackson.  Great-grandmother of 11.

In keeping with Iona’s wishes, cremation has taken place.  A family gathering will take place at a later date.

As an expression of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice
