David Mark Griffiths, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia, Ontario. He was born on December 25, 1961, in Burks Falls, Ontario to his beloved parents Jack and Agnes Griffiths, and from that moment, his journey through life was marked by kindness, humor, and a genuine love for those around him.
David was a devoted family man whose heart was most full when surrounded by his family. He took immense joy in spending time with his grandkids, Lucas and Hayden, who brought boundless joy into his life. Their laughter and adventures together were a source of great pride and happiness for him. As Papa, he embraced every moment with grace and warmth, creating cherished memories that will forever resonate in their hearts.
He leaves behind two wonderful sons, Kyle (Lisa) Griffiths and Dylan Griffiths (Deanna). David took great delight in watching them grow into the remarkable men they are today, and he was always there with encouragement and support, cheering them on through life’s milestones.
David was not only a loving father and grandfather but also a cherished brother to Ken Cranston (Sue), Jenny Marshall (Dave), Darlene Marshall (Roger), Jack Griffiths (Lynn), Kris Groomes (Doug), Gayle Wheeler (Doug), Anita Parsons (Dan), and Robert Griffiths (Katie). His siblings shared a bond with him that was forged in love and enduring companionship. He was not just their brother; he was their friend, confidant, and an unwavering source of joy.
An uncle to many, David’s generous spirit and fondness for laughter made him a favorite among his nieces and nephews, who will carry his memory forward in their own lives.
Throughout his life, David had a penchant for adventure, often visiting casinos, where he enjoyed trying his luck and sharing stories of his escapades with family and friends. His playful nature and zest for life were infectious, drawing people toward him like a magnet.
David's presence will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy of love, laughter, and strength will continue to inspire those fortunate enough to have known him. As we remember David, let us celebrate the moments shared, the lessons learned, and the love that he so generously gave to everyone he encountered. Rest in peace, dear David; your spirit will live on in the hearts of your loved ones.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation at https://huntsvillehospitalfoundation.ca/ or Sick Kids Foundation at https://www.sickkidsfoundation.com/
