Corleen "Cory" Elizabeth Ireland

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Corleen Elizabeth Ireland (nee Carpenter) on May 11, 2024. Cory was born to Loyd and Charolette Carpenter on December 24, 1943, in Hamilton Ontario. Cory Attended Centriller Public School completing her Grade 8 education. She later attended hairdressing school in Toronto. Cory married Arthur Neil Ireland on December 31, 1959, in Bronte Ontario and had four wonderful children. Cory had multiple careers in hairdressing, building management and owning a restaurant with her family. Cory was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Cory enjoyed; knitting, crochet, painting, gardening, music, puzzles, reading, family ancestry, attending church and spending time with family and friends. Cory is predeceased by husband Arthur Ireland. Survived by sister Connie Verbeke (nee Carpenter) and husband Rene Verbeke, sister Gwen Jones (nee Carpenter) and husband Stu Jones, brother Rob Carpenter and wife Tina Carpenter and brother William Carpenter. Daughter Marcia Joiner (nee Ireland) and husband Terry Joiner, son Timothy Ireland and Wife Terri, Rod Ireland (dec.) and wife Joanne, daughter Patricia Ireland (dec.) and partner Deb Hockridge. Proud grandmother of Shawn, Kimberly, Jesse, Ashley, Megan, Shannon, Sarah, Allan and Candace-Rose. Great-grandmother of Julianne, Olivia, Autumn, Liam, Mason and Zoey.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation being held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville from 1:00 p.m. until time of the funeral service in the chapel at 2:00 p.m. The interment will follow the funeral service. A reception will be held back at Billingsley Funeral Home following the burial. Donations can be made in Cory’s honour to the Muskoka SPCA. Flowers can be sent to Billingsley Funeral Home.
