McDERMOTT, Cindy Lou          

Passed away suddenly at her home on October 6, 2023, at the age of 66. Cindy was born on February 15, 1957, in Scarborough, Ontario to parents Charles and Marg Schwab.  She is the beloved mother of Tammy Lee McDermott. Proud grandmother to Olivia Fritzley and Isaiah Fritzley.  Cindy will be remembered by her son-in-law Michael Fritzley and brothers Darryl Schwab (Laurie), Tony Schwab (Elaine Lynne Kay), and Stephen Schwab.  Loving aunt to Leasha, Wayne Schwab, Serena Holmes, Carl Schwab, Charlynne Schwab, Joshua Schwab, Shauna Schwab, Sara Burley, Zachery Schwab, Samantha Schwab, Jeremy Crawford, and Sean Crawford.  Remembered by here nieces-in-law Danielle Crawford and Krista Crawford and brother-in-law Scotty.  Predeceased by her parents Charlie and Marg Schwab, sister, Terry Crawford, brother Martin Schwab and nephew Justin Schwab.

Cindy loved her family and spending time at the cottage in Dorset, Ontario where they would enjoy their summers outdoors, fishing and boating.  Cindy, as a grandmother was very close with her two grandchildren, Olivia and Isaiah and loved to play with them at the beach and with the funny games she bought for them.

Cremation has taken place.  A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Billingsley Funeral Home, Huntsville, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service in the chapel at 12:00 p.m., reception to follow.  As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in honour of her late sister, Terry Crawford at https://cancer.ca/
