SMITH, Brenda Ann (nee Thomas)
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at home, on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at the age of 68. Brenda leaves behind her beloved husband Colin and cherished son James to mourn her passing. Also left to mourn her passing is her brother Richard his wife Elaine Thomas, nieces, nephews and extended family in England.
Formerly of Bedfordshire,England, Brenda, Colin and James immigrated to the Algonquin Highlands area when they purchased the Parkway Cottage Resort & Store in 2005. Brenda cherished her family and loved to travel. As well as being a Scout leader in Biggleswade (UK), she taught kids to ride bicycles at schools and also did horse riding for the disabled.
In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2019 from 1-3 p.m. at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road Huntsville. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations can be made to Kidney Cancer Canada. Messages of condolence can be left at www.billingsleyfuneralhome.com
