Bradley Reginald Warren of Huntsville, born September 25th, 1957, in St. Catharines, passed away in Huntsville on Christmas Day, 2025. He is deeply missed by his loving and heartbroken wife Meghan Pomeroy (joyfully married on July 21st, 2018, on McLaren Island, Georgian Bay), parents Beverley Joan McManus (Jim – predeceased) and Frederick Richard Warren (Marsha), daughters Kelly and Riley Warren and their mother JoAnn, grandchildren Tyson and Alex, and sisters Linda Warren (Shawn Revill) and Kathy Richardson (Tom). He was a beloved uncle of Eric Dauphin (Misty), Carissa Richardson, Juliet (Bradley) and Jacob Camus, and great-uncle to Lucas and Hazel Dauphin. He was a cherished son-in-law to Margaret Pomeroy (Ted Duncan) and dearest brother-in-law to David Pomeroy (Hilary Sadowsky), and dear friend to many, many more. Brad grew up in Fonthill, which he fondly called “the hub of the universe”. There, he would walk down the hill from Damude Drive to play hockey at the outdoor rink with neighbourhood friends, attended A.K. Wigg public school and played football at E. L. Crossley Secondary School. He was active in many local sports, got up to all sorts of mischief, and discovered his passion for spending time in the outdoors. Those years gave him cherished memories and lifelong friendships.
His love of the outdoors and the bush lead him north to study Forestry at Sir Sandford Fleming College. He then began a long career with the Ministry of Natural Resources. With MNR, he explored every corner of Ontario, working a variety of jobs that allowed him to experience all that the province had to offer – fighting forest fires in Northern Ontario, doing fish census on Lake Erie, being a Deputy Conservation Officer in eastern Ontario, and working in many provincial parks across the province.
Brad and Meg loved spending time at their cottage on Georgian Bay, adding to it and renovating it with repurposed materials and other treasures, and spending time with friends on the dock. The cottage was the happiest place for Brad. Brad had an insatiable appetite for life and a gift for sharing his experiences. Brad was happiest when guiding others to experience and share in what he loved. He was not known for sitting still and could often be found out having adventures, visiting with old friends, or off making new ones. He was an expert tour guide and was always up for visiting the Comfort Maple, wineries and antique stores in the Niagara Peninsula; chasing an early morning topwater hit while bass fishing; enjoying a cigar or drink on the dock; setting up for an eight-pointer walking in front of the hunting blind; camping at Bone Lake near Chapleau or near Nakina; hunting for antique and flea market bargains; making a batch of cabbage rolls; losing many golf balls; talking motorcycles, guitars, hunting, fishing, classic cars or cooking; and, of course, pouring the perfect rum-and-coke, scotch, G&T, or gin martini with plenty of olives. But above all, Brad loved his family and friends. Our endlessly loving and often hilarious memories of Brad cannot be summed up here. However, anyone who knew him will easily recall his energy and vitality, his sense of humour and laugh, and his determination. His family and friendships were central to his liveliness and joy. And, if you ever needed help – mechanic, realtor, vehicle, guitar, antiques, etc. – he was an excellent deal maker and was always ready to make the connections. Brad will be remembered as a force of positivity and generosity.
In accordance with Brad’s wishes, cremation has occurred, and Brad’s ashes will be scattered in Georgian Bay, which was his favourite place on earth. A celebration of life is being planned; details to follow.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Huntsville Hospital Foundation emergency department or ICU (https://huntsvillehospitalfoundation.ca/donate/) or Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation (https://www.heartandstroke.ca/donations). Brad was an organ donation recipient (ever grateful to JoAnn for her life-saving kidney donation), and he chose to donate tissue for research and education through the Trillium Gift of Life Network (https://www.giftoflife.on.ca/en/). Brad’s family urges everyone to consider registering as an organ, tissue, or blood donor (learn more and register at https://beadonor.ca/).
