Passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Monday, June 17, 2019 at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Edna Welch (nee Richards) of 62 years. Loving father of James (Michelle) Welch, the late Jeff (Nikki) Welch, Linda (Rick) Faulkner, Susan (Shawn) Nason and Jennifer Otterwell (Shawn). Cherished grandfather of Jeff (Amy), Lisa (T.J.), Wendy (Nick), Chrystal (Mickey), Shelby (Mike), Michelle (Jacob), Adam and Josh. Great-grandfather of Madison, Cobin, Taylor, Tryston, Emily, Ethan M., Sammy, Riley, Ethan E., Charlise, Ryann and Theo. Dear brother of the late Maureen, Glenda (dec. Darwin), Marlin (Al), Tony (Pat), Vaughan (Marcia) Donna (dec. Bob), Shelly (dec. Dale) and Doug (Nikki).
The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at 12 p.m. at Billingsley Funeral Home, 430 Ravenscliffe Road, Huntsville. Reception to follow.
