Bonnie Lee Barkwell

Passed away peacefully on her own terms on December 22, 2023 at her home in Huntsville. Bonnie was born on June 29, 1957 to parents William and Merle (nee Kernohan) Barkwell in Pembroke, Ontario.  She is the loving mother of John Martinson.  Beloved grandmother of Jenna, Summer, Rayna, Norla, Ryley Martinson and Kailum and Ash Deith.  Dear sister of Wayne and Barry Barkwell.

Bonnie grew up in New Brunswick but lived most of her life in Muskoka.  She worked as a waitress at Voyager Restaurant for 19 years then at the Huntsville Hospital for 22 years.  Bonnie adored all animals, caring for many cats and dogs throughout her life.  She loved gardening and working outside, especially laying in the sun cathing the rays.  Bonnie truly loved her parents and would care for them in their later years until their passing - all gone to soon.

In keeping with Bonnie's wishes, cremation has taken place.  There will be no service at this time.  Bonnie will be laid to rest with her beloved parents.
