HALEY, Alice Ruth Ann (nee Caldwell)

It is with great sadness, but greatful hearts we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister on Friday, March 1, 2019 at Muskoka Shores Care Community in Gravenhurst, Ontario. Born January 24, 1932 she was the eldest daughter to the late Roland Caldwell and late Ruth Burton of Hants County, Nova Scotia. Pre-deceased by her husband Lyall Haley, siblings: Roy, Melvin, Omar and Myra Caldwell. She is survived by daughters: Sonia Ferguson, Carol Haley, sons Wayne (Tracy) Haley, Richard (Wendy) Haley all of Huntsville, grandchildren: Erika (Danny) Morrison of Minett, Kate (Marc) Doyle of Sudbury, David (Anna) Haley of Dorset, Jessi (Ronald) Cortes of Huntsville, Matt Haley of Huntsville, Cody (Que Nell) Haley of Innisfil, great-grandchildren: Bailey, Blake, Harper, Matais, Myla, Nash, Isla, Koen and Kein and siblings: Helen Williams of British Columbia, Judi (Bev) Thornburn of Nova Scotia, Claire (Evelyn) Caldwell of Nova Scotia, Boyd (Nellie) Caldwell of Nova Scotia, Lloyd (Mona) Caldwell of Alberta, Dorothy Jefferies of Ontario, Alan (Ann) Caldwell of Ontario and many nieces and nephews. Alice loved her visits from all her family especially the children. She was an avid bingo player, golf fan and always enjoyed a good laugh.

The family burial will take place in the Spring at Hutcheson Memorial Cemetery. A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 363 Ravenscliffe Road in Huntsville 1 to 4 pm. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society of Muskoka, Heart & Stroke Foundation or any charity of your choice.
